INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECT

The starting point of the project was the redistribution of the interior layout to optimize the spatial flow. After all, experiencing a home means moving through it with effortless fluidity, free from barriers or restrictive structures.
A lively green and orange palette energizes the open-plan living and kitchen area, harmonizing perfectly with the natural oak and cherry wood tones. Portions of the kitchen and the seating bench were custom-designed to maximize the available footprint, creating a seamless, functional interlock. Conversely, cabinetry from the previous kitchen was thoughtfully repurposed and reassembled through a careful restyling process.
The owners’ love for mixing old and new is evident throughout the decor, which is enriched by vintage accents, such as the armchairs nestled by the fireplace and the iconic 1960s Nessino lamp in the bedroom.
The colors converse with one another without ever clashing or overpowering; they enhance the visual perspectives and alter the perception of volume, a highly effective strategy for more compact spaces.
A continuous strip of resin seamlessly connects the kitchen to the dining area, leading all the way to the guest bathroom. Here, the solid color of the floor playfully contrasts with the grid-patterned wall tiles, which are directly inspired by Zanotta's iconic Quaderna table.
For the master bathroom, however, a shift in atmosphere occurs: softer, more muted tones were selected to beautifully complement the tactile materiality of the stone and the exquisite fixtures from Gessi’s Goccia collection.
